Steve opened
Mission Bay Chiropractic Center
in 1995 where he provides
healthcare to our community. Steve is a holistic
chiropractor who holds a full Board
Certification in chiropractic sports medicine
and is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist.
Not only is he valued by his patients, but Steve
is respected among his colleagues. In 2005, the
Florida Chiropractic Association named Steve the
Chiropractor of the Year. Steve also served as a
national lecturer for the chiropractic
profession.
Even before being elected to the Florida House, Steve has accumulated vast experience in the legislative process. He served for over 15 years as a local Legislative Chairman for the Florida Chiropractic Association, and sat on the FCA's Board of Directors, before accepting the FCA's appointment as Legislative Committee Chairman for the entire state. Since the mid-1990's, he has led the annual visitation team to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for both the FCA and the American Chiropractic Association, during which he honed his skills as an educator on an broad array of legislative topics and earned accolades from Members of Congress.
In addition, he served as ACA-PAC Chairman for two years, was the first chairman of the ACA's Health Care Reform Task Force, and still serves as a member of the ACA's Legislative Commission.
Steve’s extensive experience in the legislative arena has created numerous friendships with, and more importantly, earned the respect of, many local, state, and national leaders.
Steve is also an active
member in our community through organizations such as the Rotary
Club of Boca Raton Sunset, where he is a past president, charter
member, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and was selected by his peers
as the 1999 Rotarian of the Year. He is also a Charter Member of the
West Boca Chamber of Commerce.
Steve's wife of over 28
years, Irene, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, working with him in
his West Boca clinic. Ben, 25, attended University of Florida,
currently works in retail music sales and is an accomplished,
professional musician. Arielle, 23, a recent graduate of Florida
State University, is completing her national certification
credentials as an ASL interpreter and is preparing applications for
graduate school. In addition, Dr. Perman is fortunate to have his
parents living close-by in our community. |
